I only work with recent versions, sorry, so I won't be of any help with 1.12.

1.12 is no longer supported, you should update to a modern supported version.

 

The LTS link at the top of every page has information on supported versions.

gradlew build --refresh-dependencies --rerun-tasks --stacktrace --console plain 1> gradle.log 2>&1

this command will not display any output so you will need to wait until you see the prompt appear, then provide the gradle.log using one of the paste sites listed in the logs section of my signature below
