I downloaded the right installer for Forge.   I'm lost.
    • try{ Method createBoolean = GameRules.BooleanValue.class.getClass().getMethod("create", boolean.class); createBoolean.setAccessible(true); DeferredWorkQueue.runLater( () -> { try { Object boolTrue = createBoolean.invoke(GameRules.BooleanValue.class, true); GameRules.register("doAttackCooldown", (GameRules.RuleType<GameRules.BooleanValue>) boolTrue); } catch (IllegalAccessException e) { } catch (InvocationTargetException e) { } } ); } catch (IllegalArgumentException e) { } catch (NoSuchMethodException e) { } So I've finally managed to clear all syntax errors in my code, and built the mod... however... it still hasn't registered the game rule...
    • It´s this line in the render-method: net.minecraftforge.common.MinecraftForge.EVENT_BUS.post(new net.minecraftforge.client.event.RenderPlayerEvent.Pre(entityIn, this, partialTicks, matrixStackIn, bufferIn, packedLightIn)) It gives the syntax-error: for me it looks like the RenderPlayerEvent cannot use my custom PlayerRenderer as an input in it´s constructor, only the official vanilla-one.. So i still don´t know, how to fix this
    • Correct. You can still place blocks on top of fences, after all. Whether or not pathfinding from mobs will respect the additional height is questionable (it might be coded to check for only fences, or only blocks in the fence tag, or...).   Also, You are making a WIDE block. Collisions outside the 1x1x1 cube will not work at all in the X and Z directions. It only works for TALL blocks (16x24x16 only!!!! Note that it does not even extend to a full 32!!!!).
    • 1.8 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
