1.14.4 Modded Crashes on startup

When I try to run forge, an error shows: 

 

ERROR
Game crashed
An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

 

OS: Ubuntu 18.04

Version: 1.14.4

 

ANSWER:

if doing java -version does not give you java 8:

sudo update-alternatives --config java

There are 3 choices for the alternative java (providing /usr/bin/java).

then set the alternative to whatever one is 8 (in this case, 2)

Update: Doing 

java -version

reveals I am on java 11, (Thats what I get for programming without sandboxing) How can I set the version to 8 specifically for Minecraft? (I know it is installed)

 

Another Update: After setting the bundled env to

/usr/share/applications/openjdk-8-java.desktop

no luck

Well I have a new issue: Having no mods works fine, but when I add mods, the game will crash right after loading the world:
