overriding a method in EntityRenderer

Basically I want to add this:

if (Class3.zoom && gunZoom > 1.0D)

        {

            this.cameraZoom = gunZoom;

        }

        else

        {

            this.cameraZoom = 1.0D;

        }

in to the updateRenderer method in EntityRenderer Class, without changing any vanilla code

@Override
public void render(...) {
    //your code
    super.render(...);
}

And what were the errors?

package herz.class3.common;

import herz.class3.Class3;

public class Class3EntityRenderer

{

    public static double gunZoom = 1.0D;

    public boolean zoomInKey;

    public boolean zoomOutKey;

    @Override

    public void updateRenderer()

    {

        if (Class3.zoom && gunZoom > 1.0D)

        {

        this.cameraZoom = gunZoom;

        }

        else

        {

            this.cameraZoom = 1.0D;

        }

        super.updateRenderer();

    }

}

they are all the errors in the code. i think it is because of the EntityRenderer things i want to change are private but im not sure.

You're not extending a class for super to be of any use.  Or overrides.
