How order mod folders without crashing the game?

Hello, I would like to know if there is any way to classify mods inside the "mods" folder of the ".minecraft" folder.
Because I don't like to take out all the mods that I have in version 1.7, to put all the ones that I sometimes use in 1.8

Neither. In the launcher you can make as many "Installations" as you want. An Installation is a setting that says "launch this version with this .minecraft folder". "Version" in this case can mean any Forge version you have installed or any vanilla Minecraft version. It will then put mods, configs, worlds, etc. in the game directory you choose instead of in .minecraft.

OOOOOOOOOOOH THANKS

I too am annoyed by this change. I would rather do it the old way and use folders under the mods folder like we used to be able to so. This change is not very user friendly and a step backwards. Surely this is an easy option to write into the program.

The old way was the hacky way Forge added, this way is the way Mojang added and supports
