Forge 1.12 server keeps shutting down after 1 second

Recommended Posts

Every time I try to launch my server it instantly stops withing the second. I've looked online for a good 30min - 1h and couldn't find a reason I have the latest Java and will upload the logs. If anyone knows what's wrong please help I'll be on frequently.

Define "nothing". What happened after you ran it from the command line? Why do you have two forge jar files in your server folder?

I've tried installing forge again and have been trying both. Each one whenever I try to open them the small loading circle next to the cursor pops up for less than half a second

So you did not run it from the command line. Why did you say that you did?

  • Open the folder containing your server (in Windows Explorer).
  • Type cmd into the address bar (you can use Ctrl-L to focus it) and press enter. The command line will open.
  • Type java -jar [forge jar file name] (replace [forge jar file name] with the name of your forge jar file).

Post the complete output of this process.

My bad I was just dragging the forge file into cmd, one says to accept the eula which I have when I first made the server and the other just does the same loading thing with the cursor.

Please clarify "one" and "the other".

Also: You did not follow my instructions. You are running the command line from another folder, which is not your server folder. Therefor the required files will not be found.

Sorry I'm not sure what you want me to do?
