Help with running mods

Recommended Posts

Imma cut right to the chase here. So I am currently building a Minecraft server for me and my friends to use so we can play modded SMP. But when I put the mods in the correct file, and try to run the server, it says that '[INSERT MOD] is not a valid mod file'. And it does this too client side. I am currently new to this and how it works so some advice would be nice. I am using 1.13.2 version of Forge and all of the mods are .jar files.

Here is a list of the mods I am using too, if that helps:

  • Security Craft v1.8.12
  • Apple Skin v1.0.9
  • Basic Nether Ores v1.0.4.0
  • Better Advancements v0.1.0.77
  • Colytra v1.1.1
  • Elevator Mod v1.3.9
  • JEI v4.15.0.268
  • Mod Name Tooltip v1.10.0
  • Ore Excavation v1.4.140
  • Quick Leaf Decay 1.2.4
  • Restricted Portals v0.6.3
  • Tiny Mob Farm v1.0.5
  • Xaeros Minimap v1.16.4

Modder Support:

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

4.

5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger.

Support & Bug Reports:

Spoiler

1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s).

2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
