ForgeGradle completely broke out of nowhere while working on mod / Even a brand new workspace is giving problems

I've been working on a small 1.13.2 mod and its been going fine, until now. I turned on my pc today and worked on the mod a bit.

Now, every time I try to run pretty much any gradle task, I see this in the console.

> Configure project :
New Dep: net.minecraftforge:forge:1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13

Then the task will fail with this error:

Could not find net.minecraftforge:forge:1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13.

At first, I thought I messed something up in my forge workspace, however it appears that even in a freshly extracted mdk, i instantly have the errors in source sets, and am unable to do most gradle tasks.
Forge was working fine for around 3 days, and i'm not sure what could have caused this...
Hopefully it isn't something stupid that i'm missing....
Edit: asked a few other people who are working on mods, and they are all having the same issue. We have come to the conclusion that forge maven is broken!

Hello,

I know "+1 Me too" posts are frowned upon, but I am not sure if I am having the same issue.

When I execute

gradlew eclipse

I get the output:

$ gradlew eclipse

> Configure project :
New Dep: net.minecraftforge:forge:1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13

> Task :eclipseClasspath
Could not resolve: net.minecraftforge:forge:1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13

BUILD SUCCESSFUL in 2s
6 actionable tasks: 4 executed, 2 up-to-date

Is this related to this issue or am I doing something wrong?

Edit:

I have just noticed that when I execute the following to get a more informative output

gradlew eclipse -i

the output contains:

Resource missing. [HTTP GET: https://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13/forge-1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13.pom]

I believe that answers my question and it's really just a problem with the forge maven....

I got this problem too... It's just the server not working now (maybe the forge team is working on it). Just wait until it works again.

In the meantime, find something to do like playing minecraft or implementing A* pathfinding (that's what I'm doing now).

It says:

Could not resolve: net.minecraftforge:forge:1.13.2-25.0.60_mapped_snapshot_20180921-1.13

So you got the same issue. It just didn't tell you where it tried to find the dependency...

That's always fun, but sadly I've already done this in c#, java, javascript and c++... It's my go to thing when I am bored, but I am slowly running out of languages to implement it in :). I guess I have to learn Brainfuck or something.

Try something else: Neural networks, Perlin/Simplex noise (can be useful in modding), Rigid body engine... (I know, this is off-topic)

Same problem, downgrading to ForgeGradle 3.0.105 will solve the problem ?

If you can tell me how I will try...

Yes, it's super off topic ?, but thanks for the tips, I'll look into Simplex noise!

In build.gradle change the version from '3.+' to '3.0.105'

classpath group: 'net.minecraftforge.gradle', name: 'ForgeGradle', version: '3.+', changing: true

should look like:

classpath group: 'net.minecraftforge.gradle', name: 'ForgeGradle', version: '3.0.105', changing: true

thank you that fixed it for me!

are you sure its been fixed? Im still having the issue even with newly made workspaces.

Yes, i just changed the version back to 3.+ and it worked!

You have to refresh the dependencies with:

./gradlew --refresh-dependencies

BTW this is the commit from LexManos: Fix inverted logic
