I had followed these guidelines and they had not worked, it tells me it does not recognize Java as a internal or external command

Your Java is not properly installed, as it seems to be unavailable from the command line. Specify the full path to the Java executable instead of just using java.

I am not sure what else to say. Use the full path (e.g. "C:\Program Files\Java\...\bin\java.exe" instead of just java.

I've done this and it cannot find or load the .net.preferIPv4Stack

Please make sure you’re using cmd and not powershell when running the command, Powershell has slightly different command syntax.

You need to include the .jar extension when using the java command.

and use CMD, the command does not work in powershell, you can open a cmd prompt in powershell by typing cmd.

Is the forge installer in your steam library? (If so, why?)

and did you include the ".jar" at the end of the installer name?

I honestly can't think of a reason that message would pop up in this case.

Is there a way to manually download these jarfiles and place them within the .minecraft folder

I have done it this way for some of them and i no longer have them pop up and when i go into the folders in the org file, I don't even have the scala jarfiles at all

Can I just have you confirm the URLs you have gotten Java and Forge from?

Sure, here:

Forge: https://files.minecraftforge.net/maven/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.12.2.html

Java: https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp (I had downloaded the offline 64 bit version)

And that message that the app can't run showed up multiple times it wasn't just a fluke, right?

Oh, I see... well that's useful to know! I'm going to try implementing your JSON-style replacement. Thank you very much!

[1.12.2] Modifying player capabilities for offline players?

By Differentiation · Posted 1 hour ago

Hey!   Is there any way to modify capability values for offline players (where EntityPlayerMP instance is null essentially) without using JSON? Is there like a way to make capabilities for GameProfile?   Any help is appreciated!   Thanks!

Trouble getting contents of a Chest

By MattNL · Posted 1 hour ago

So, I realized I didn't really mention what the problem was, oops. I need to get the contents of broken containers, not just chests, and write that data to an item stack (presumably through net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.storeTEInStack).
