Ok guys I am not a beginner but im not a expert either, I was wanting to make a energy api but was wondering where to start

There's like, five energy systems now.  IC², RedPower, BuildCraft, RestoneFlux, RotaryCraft's torque...

 

Just import Universal Electricity and use that.  There's literally no need to reinvent the wheel.

Ya I know theres alot of energy systems out there, but im not making the mod for the public im making it for the knowledge.

Ok I took a look at the Universal Electricity api and it is broke

I thought so at first as well. Then I dug deeper and found that it has indeed been moved. I'm not sure what they did, but apparently it's associated with Resonant Engine.
