WarpedJester Does MineCraft

Recommended Posts

Hello, and Welcome to the Wonderfully Weird World of WarpedJester Gaming.

Hi, I’m WarpedJester and here is where you can find out a little bit about me and what I do. So… what do I do?... Umm… well.. oh yes, now I remember. I playing MineCraft, among other games, and I have a habit of recording what I do, editing it to make suck just a little bit less, and posting it for your [hopeful] enjoyment.

So, Who am i?:

I am just an average A.D.D.-afflicted joe. Mild manner IT helpdesk technician by day, lazy rambling gamer by night. I do play a lot of games off and on but the bulk of that time is usually on MineCraft. That said, I enjoy doing a great many thing, not only by way of game, but in the real world too. I tend to be technically minded, working on or trying out just about anything I can, figuring it out, and then getting board of it and moving on. The result of which has earned me the title of “Jack of all trades and master of none”. Guilty =)

The History:

I picked up this funny, blocky, little game back in Alpha when there was a deal to get it for the low low price of $9.99 (or something like that). I tried it out for a little bit, didn’t really get it and lost track of it for a while. Fast forward a bit and MineCraft poked its head up in my world again in the form of a few friends hosting a server.. [wait, you can play together with friends now?].

From there I floated from sever to server and learned the trials and tribulation of what server life is like, the good, the bad, the public server (very ugly). I settled in with the CotP clan for a while where I got my first taste of Modded MineCraft in the form of Tekkit 1.2.5. After that I was hooked. I grew to love the complexity of a modded game and the logistic that goes with it. Time past, one thing lead to another and I came together with a good group of real life friends to form the clan Bottle Rocket Gaming.

Bottle Rocket Gaming: The Saga begins!

I have spent the better half year the past year working with Turgo to fleshing out Bottle Rocket Gaming and working on multiple iterations of a custom mod pack leading up to the release of, what we fondly refer to as, the M-80 mod pack. M-80 is a custom privet mod pack made up of all the usual suspects, IC2, BC, TE, etc etc etc, along with a few fun mods like Archimedes Ships and Infernal Mobs to name a few. We have done a lot of custom tweaking, both big and small, and most notable of which being the removal of all things teleporting o.0!! Yup you read that right. The goal of our endeavor is to create a custom and unique sever for us to play and do recording on and to enjoy.

Bottle Rocket Gaming is a White List server and we are currently accepting application for new people who, like us, are into video creation and are looking for a modded MineCraft server to use at a platform for their channel content. If you fit this bill, please feel free to hop over to www.bottlerocketgaming.com/forum and introduce yourself and apply.

Speaking of video…

I have done a little bit of video recording off and on but have not had the time to get into it until just recently. Now, with Bottle Rocket Gaming up and running and the mod pack out of beta, I have time to sit down and start having fun with recording again! I have blown the dust off of my YouTube channel, WarpedJester Gaming, and have started off with a few short how-to videos (oddly enough for vanilla MineCraft). My intention is to try and post content, about once a week, ranging from Quick-tips and How-to’s to Server Paly episodes on the Bottle Rocket Gaming server.

So that’s me in a nutshell. You can find more on me and everything I have talked about via the links below.

Have a good one!

Were back at the data center getting our Big MAC's installed and set up but first we take a look around town and discover some new things. We also take a quick trip over to the test server to check out the new spawn location and set up.
