Error when coding a nameprotect mod (not using Forge)

OK, first thing, no, I am not a griefer asking "ZAWMG NAMEPOTECT I WAHNT ITT"  I just wanted to make this so when recording videos, our usernames are kept straight, for example, instead of being called "<snipped>" I want to be called "white_mage_12." I had a bit of experience in Java, so I got MCP and I made a simple modification to change me and my friend's names to what we wanted them to be. I tested it by temporarily putting my server into offline mode and logging in from Eclipse's debug mode, and opening the real Minecraft launcher and logging in from my username, and the username would appear different in the Eclipse debugger.

However, there's a teeeeny tiny error...

If you can't see it, the 2 goes off of the nameplate. For shorter names, it doesn't fill the nameplate:

So, is there any extra code I need to add to make the nameplates fit? Because this will not do if I keep it like this.

Thanks,

Taatsu
