  1. Well, the problem is that neither the client OR server is decompiling, it just gives that error as soon as I run the install script. Is there a workaround? Should I not run updatemcp before I install Forge? Thanks for your help. By the way, checked the server folder in the forge directory, found an empty 'PLACEHOLDER' file. Guessing that means something
  2. Haha, you're right. Log files are below. Also, what do you mean by the few server files being a 'feature?' Sounds...important. Console log: http://pastebin.com/XSq98FMX mcp.log: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/90411166/mcp.log mcperr.log was zero bytes full. Thanks
  3. Something IS wrong with build #178. I get an error every time I try to decompile. Also, as of build #176, the only files in (server)net.minecraft.src are the ModLoader classes and a few others. This has already probably been discussed, just wondering what the time quota was until this issue is fixed.
  4. DISCLAIMER: the above date is not supported by the forge developers! there, problem solved! Haha, didn't put that into consideration. Note that that is MY PERSONAL estimation. I am in no way related or a part of the MinecraftForge team.
  5. the first test release should be out soon-ish, it depends on how much time lexmanos has available to finish porting to the new system & mc 1.3 Excuse me that i'm annoying, but what is the limit-day when Forge 1.3.1 is out?(approximately) how about u learn how to read??? did u read all posts before typing this?? i mean there are about 5 posts giving the answer, and of corse im not gonna post it in here, search for it yourself instead of being lazy!!! believe me, u gonna win with it from now on Keep calm. I wanted to know when is ready just as informative. I can assure you the Forge team is working hard to get out a stable release. They've already pointed out on their GitHub repository that they have the API up and running on Client and Server, it's just a matter of bugfixing now. My estimation would be 2 more working days.
  6. I love pickles and I'll take them all. And the dog, because I love dogs too! With 1.3.2 upcoming, will you release a 1.3.1 version if 1.3.2 is earlier? 1.3.2?! Really?! OH HELL NAWW!! Need to update twice?! =_= I wouldn't expect the 1.3.2 update to be a drastic change, Mojang is just going to fix the bugs that have been pointed out since 1.3.1. As for Forge, Lex and cpw should have no problem patching for the update, if they need to patch at all.
  7. Thanks so much. As I said before, I appreciate what you guys do so much. -aidancbrady
  8. Thank you very much for your kind response and clarification. I've been so used to chatting on #risucraft, where actual code talk is extremely rare. I will definitely partake in conversation here on the forums, but do you know how long the ban is in place for? I'd much prefer to chat on #minecraftforge than the other modding channels. Thanks. -aidancbrady
  9. I'm guessing there was a misunderstanding, as atrain99 said, he's probably getting spammed with 1.3.1 requests. Hopefully he'll understand.
  10. Hello. I'm fairly new to the Forge community, so I was fairly disappointed when I was banned from the #minecraftforge IRC channel. I've been making Minecraft mods for quite some time now and just recently converted all my mods to Forge, so I've wanted to get to know some other fellow modders, preferably on your IRC channel. One day, I saw a linux user talking about how the MCP pre-release should have had a different format for it's non-windows users. At this point, I didn't know that SeargeDP had included a '.zip' format in his release, so I commented that I agreed with the linux user. As a mac user, I didn't think it was possible to extract '.7z' files on my OS. A few seconds after commenting about this, LexManos himself called me a 'mac fag' and that we, as in all mac owners, are always wanting everyone else to cater to us. I quickly responded that this was not the case, and that I didn't (think) I had a way to use the MCP pre-release. LexManos then kicked me with the message 'To Google!". I searched, and realized that there was a way to extract '.7z' files on OS X. Therefore, I logged back in to the #minecraftforge IRC and said that Lex was right, and that there was a way to use MCP on my computer. I also posted that I was sad I wasn't able to start off on good terms with LexManos, and that I was sorry about my question. LexManos then banned me with the message "Does this?", and I have not been able to log into the channel since. It's been about 5 days now. If LexManos happens to read this, please realize I'm sorry if I did anything wrong, and if there's anything I can do to fix the problem, please tell me. I appreciate your work so much, and I hate to be looked upon as a disappointment to to the community. Thanks for your time. -aidancbrady
