[1.11.2] [Solved~] Custom .json block model?
Calendula replied to Calendula's topic in Modder Support
Ohh, yes, the path was messed up because me thought me needed to add "models/block". Thank you a lot! Crash logs are useful I guess. -
[1.11.2] [Solved~] Custom .json block model?
Calendula replied to Calendula's topic in Modder Support
Uhh, me is able to create simple blocks/items with textures and stuff by now. The thing me wants to try to use a custom model for a block, so it looks differently in shape, but I can't get it to work. (Error reports if still needed: There it is!) -
Hai there again, me has issues with using a custom block model... The block model: Herew! The blockstate .json: There! First of all, does me need an extra item model .json for it, too? (For inventory and hand stuffs) And how does me add a custom block model properly? The way me tried doesn't seem to work... Thank you in advance and sorry for any inconveniences... Calendula

Hello there, me is new here and a novice in Minecraft forge modding and me ran into this issue where blocks are rendering perfectly fine in the world when placed but the texture in the inventory and in the hand is completely flat and stuff which obviously isn't supposed to happen. Me already tried to change the way of registering blocks, .json structure, tutorials and so on... It's about the "star_ore" me has in there~ My block registering class: Here! My .json of "star_ore": This way~ The block itself: There is the blocky block. A screenshot: Look there!~ Me hopes that someone notices some really stupid mistake me has made which could eventually solve this issue~ Thank you in advance~ Calendula
