Hello Finacole, I signed up on the forum because I saw your need for help. I am currently building a Minecraft server for my daughter and her school friends and I had the same issues. There are no reliable guides so if I can help I am happy to do so. If you are having issues with the forge what you need to do is download the forge version you want from profiles. Then select it from the server you created along with its installer.jar. Run that and let it load up. Once its done you will get the real jar file you need to run the server. When you get that server started, download and install WinSCP. Connect to your sever's IP on port 22 and use the mc acccount and password. The path you are looking for to copy mods to is "/var/games/minecraft/servers/ServerName/mods" Copy your mods there and make sure they are the same version as the server / client you are running. You will most likely need to copy the mods to the client directory also in "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods" The main thing is to make sure you have the same versions across the board. Server Forge and Client Forge need to match. Mods also need to match the version of minecraft you are running. Last thing I can think of is if you cant copy mods over using WinSCP then you need to make sure the mods folder is owned by the MC account. SSH into the server using putty as root and use the command: "chown -R mc /var/games/minecraft/servers/*" This is what worked for me. Good luck and if something is not clear or you need more help please ask. Cheers!
