Hello i can't join a minecraft server, all my mods are in correspondance with the server in 1.12.2 . Is it possible to not change the version? And after trying something it tells me this

Hello, you probably already heard about this problem, i can't install forge, it tells me "Prduct configuration is missing", i don't know what to do pls help me. I have searched on the internet but nothing works and here is the link from where i downloaded it (1.11.2)
