I did it!!! Thank you so much for your help. I assume the above is because the 1.14.2 (1.14 series is still Beta), in the meantime should I download and use the 1.13? Would I still be able to play with the 1.14 additions?

Do you mind explaining what that means? I've googled it and nothing has come up. Additionally I've not downloaded Twitch.

@diesieben07 have I done this correctly? My apologies for at'ing, my worry was it would fall to the wayside.

I think this may be it. I found this in the ~Library/Application Support/Minecraft and it was titled debug.log. I had to unzip it and then it opened into the below text. I believe it to be from one of my download attempts a few days ago. Thank you.

I have a Mac and the libraries for Forge will not download. I've tried all the 1.14 versions and 1.13.2 multiple times. I know I'm using Java 8 - I saw in another thread that Macs might download the universal installer by accident or something, how do I check and see if that is the issue? I'm not 100% on how to download the debug log and if someone could advise that would be great. The screenshot attached shows what pops up every time. Thanks.

ahhh okay - is there a site i need to go to download java 8 or do i go into the java app/feature on computer and downgrade?

about 5 times - i've downloaded each of the .14 updates thinking maybe it wasn't working with the most recent versions. should I just keep trying?

When I try to download forge (clicking on installer - both from recommended and non-boxes), it tries to download the library and then it crashes. I have updated to Java 8 (a solution I saw mentioned on here but it didn't work for me) When it tells me the library didn't download it tells me this as well (see screenshot). Please tell me if that isn't the entire log that is needed. I am unsure what to do. I've tried with each of the 1.14 forge downloads and had no success. I am using a macbook with mojave version 10.14.16 (unsure if computer specs help). I have read the EAQ/common bug fixes but I am not super tech savy so I didn't understand it all.
