  1. I have now gotten it to work by importing java 8 from another computer as I could not access it on oracles page.
  2. How would I get access to java 8? I have looked on oracles website and all the java 8 downloads are locked behind a login. To make the matter worse I can not sign up as I am studying and therefore can't fill out sign up fields such as "company name".
  3. Hi, I am trying to get into minecraft modding but I am having quite a bit of trouble, At first when running the command it would go all the way till compiling and then would point out that I had the wrong JAVA_HOME path. I have since fixed both my JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME, however when I have JAVA_HOME added I keep getting this error 21:54:49.329 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] 21:54:49.350 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] FAILURE: Build failed with an exception. 21:54:49.350 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] 21:54:49.350 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] * What went wrong: 21:54:49.351 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] Could not determine java version from '11.0.2'. 21:54:49.352 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] 21:54:49.352 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] * Try: 21:54:49.352 [ERROR] [org.gradle.BuildExceptionReporter] Run with --stacktrace option to get the stack trace. I get this no matter what I do as long as I have JAVA_HOME set to a value. After looking around the web it seems as if I should be using an older version of java? however I have no way of getting one as you need an oracle account and a lisence to do so? Am I just being an airhead? Attached is a screencap of the console
