I've described the issue multiple times in detail... others are creating threads with similar sounding issues... it will play fine for awhile... then it hangs in the loading screens... it just freezes at 0%... I have to hit ESC to back out to the title screen... when I eventually get it to reload it returns to the original spawn point with no inventory... I'm not that worried about it anymore... as I've just installed liteloader which seems(so far, knock on wood)to be fine even running optifine thank you

Here you go... here are some log files of the same phenomenon... without optifine loaded... or do I need to purge any trace of optifine from my hd? fml-client-latest.log Although, I'm currently looking for another mod-loader... it's hard to understand why you aren't more concerned with issues forge is having with optifine... knowing that the majority of minecraft players are using optifine... one would think you would want compatibility... I mean, if I can't use forge, why would I donate money to ensure it's longevity?
  3. I have reproduced them multiple times without Optifine... I've explained in detail how they were produced without Optifine, or any other mods.... stop making excuses!
  4. I've reported this several times... and no one seems to care or take this seriously. I'm going to attach all of my latest fml logs. But, here is another rundown of the problem... the game seemingly plays fine, except that for some unknown reason my save game fails to load. It gets stuck with the dirt tile and 0% on screen. If I hit ESC and back out to the title screen to reload, I will lose my location and inventory; it's places me at the original spawn point. Here are the latest logs as promised.   5. Nukley, Thank you... that version also seems to not have the save game issues I had earlier.
  6. Let me add, also when I first noticed this happening... it would keep the time of day on the game... meaning it would go to the original spawn in the middle of night if it happened to be night... also anything built in those worlds would be where it was supposed to be
  7. Well, I hope this helps... I set it to the forge profile for the aforementioned version... start_testlog.log is the log for starting a singleplayer game named testlog... I started to the game punched out some grass and a tree, then hit ESC and quit out to the title screen. Then hang_testlog.log is where I tried to load that singleplayer game without quitting from the title screen... it would splash the screen with the dirt tile and hung with a 0% frozen on the screen for a few minutes... finally I hit ESC returned to the title screen quit the game... and did a relaunch from the launcher... the final_testlog.log is where I went into singleplayer and loaded the game... I confirmed that my inventory of a few seeds and birchwood logs were gone... I was a no longer on the stump where I quit earlier, but rather at the original spawn point... I couldn't see anything out of the ordinary in these logs, but hopefully they will be more valuable to you. I was using 2359(I double-checked I gave the wrong version earler)... it saved fine... didn't have any issues with it at first... but at some point I exited a saved singleplayer and left the title screen up... when I tried to reload the game... it would hang with 0% on the screen, and wouldn't load until restarted from the launcher... however, it would start with no inventory from the original spawn point... I couldn't reproduce the same issue outside of loading from that forge version
  9. I understand that... but there is a post in here claiming that no mods are working... I understand that people are constantly working to improve forge... so if the latest won't work with any mods can we get some info about earlier versions... I also see that in the downloads there is not yet a recommended forge for 1.12... I know, 2353 was working with optifine... but I had other save game issues with that one... so if someone is running forge on 1.12 with no issues(and preferably optifine)can you please post what version you are using... also note that with 2353 you can use with optifine and avoid the save game issues I had by closing out to the launcher every time you play... don't leave the title screen up and load a game from it multiple times
  10. well... being able to run Optifine is kinda a big deal... majority of players likely use it... and use forge for that very reason
  11. So, I noticed this first on my wife's laptop after upgrading to MC 1.12 and upgrading forge and optifine. I grabbed the latest forge from the downloads section... 2379 and everything seemingly worked fine until the title screen wasn't closed out all the way... the game had some very peculiar behavior... as the game was reloaded it would hang with 0% displayed... so I hit ESC closed the title screen and relaunched the game... then it would load, but the save was messed... it reloaded me to the original spawn point... and lost all the items that I had... it took awhile but through some trial and error I've determined that it only does this with a profile using the forge version that is there after a forge install... it's happened on my pc now as well as my wife's laptop... this has resulted in the loss of save games... which isn't a big deal... just frustrating... Has anyone else experience this? Is than an earlier forge for 1.12 that I might use to avoid this problem? Thanks in advance for any input anyone might have.
