Thank you for your reply. Why are they different? How do i get mods to work on windows 10 edition?

I would like to install the forge for the Windows 10 edition. However i feel i have jumped through every hoop to try this and i am not getting anywhere. I get the error, there is not Minecraft directory, or Minecraft launcher. I need help.
