@ObjectHolder(myfirstmod.MODID)
public class ModItems {

	public static Item redingotItem = new itemRedIngot("redingot_item");

	public static void init() {
		redingotItem.setRegistryName(new ResourceLocation(myfirstmod.MODID,"redingot_item"));
	}

	@Mod.EventBusSubscriber(modid = myfirstmod.MODID)
	public static class RegistrationHandler {

		@SubscribeEvent
		public void registerItems(RegistryEvent.Register<Item> event){
			event.getRegistry().registerAll(redingotItem);
		}

This is not how you use this annotation.

This needs to be a static method due to this

Can you send me the code of how it's supposed to be?

No, that is not how this forum works. Make your registerItems method a static method and then it should work.

Also, you shouldn't initialize IForgeRegistryEntry instances in a static initializer.
