Problems with the mod foldder?

Hello, I'm having trouble getting mods to work, you see the "mods" folder isn't there and when I make one it doesn't seem to work. I have 2 mods installed correctly however I can't remember how I did it. I'm using Windows 10 and have the correct Forge and updated Forge. Any help is appreciated as I have been trying for two days now.

If the 'mods folder is not there' then you are looking for the mods folder in the wrong place.

Specify exactly where you're going, and exactly how you're starting the game.

Provide your relevent log files as they will tell you this.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

I went to files, looked at the windows option (First Box) and pressed Installer. Happy now? The  logs tell me nothing. And I've looked for the Folder "Windows button R %appdata%" is how you access the Minecraft folder correct? All I know about starting the game is I pressed "Pin to task bar" and then I click the little grass block. I know what you're saying but I don't know how to answer it.

Show screenshots of your launcher.

Show screenshots of your profile settings.

Show screenshots of everything you're looking at.

To make sure you're in the proper MC folder, Start minecraft, go to options -> resource packs -> open resource pack folder.

That'll be in your Minecraft Dir.

Its a simple thing, you're not running the game where you think you're running the game.

    • I have been following these exact tutorials for quite a while, I must agree that they are amazing and easy to follow. I have registered the item in the ModFoods class, I tried to do it in ModItems (Where all the items should be registered) but got errors, I think I may need to revert this and figure it out from there. But I need both of these recipes, because I need a way to craft ModItems.COMPRESSED_DIAMOND_BLOCK and restore 9 diamond blocks from ModItems.COMPRESSED_DIAMOND. Is there a way to solve this?
