How can I render entities in front of the blocks

How can I render entities like players, mobs and chests in front of the wall of blocks?

I want to make them being seeable through the walls.

I have achieved the similar effect with glow potion effect, but the problem is that that is the just outline.

I want to have skin shown and whole player's body.

Something like in the attached screenshot.

How can I achieve this?

I've asked people who did Forge before, and they said that it has something do to with "Z" rendering value, I don't know where to use it or how to use.

Subscribe to RenderPlayerEvent.Pre and RenderPlayerEvent.Post and use GlStateManager.disableDepth()in Pre andGlStateManager.enableDepth() in Post.

What about chests? AFAIK they are not players... And nametags?

Thanks for the answer :P

EDIT: Figured it out... thanks so much for your help!
