Custom Animal Breeding Code

I am working on developing my code to breed two different animals together. With the current code I get this error however:

 

 

net.minecraft.src.EntityBat cannot be cast to net.minecraft.src.EntityAnimal

 

 

This is the code that is giving the error:

 

public boolean interact(EntityPlayer entityplayer) {
	List<Entity> entityList = this.worldObj.getLoadedEntityList();
	ItemStack currentItemInHand = entityplayer.inventory.getCurrentItem();

	for (Entity isLoving : entityList) {
		if (isLoving != entityplayer) {
			EntityAnimal toCompare = (EntityAnimal)isLoving;
			if (toCompare.inLove > 0) {
				entityplayer.addChatMessage("Found animal in love.");
				break;
			} else {
				entityplayer.addChatMessage("Not Inlove" + toCompare.getEntityName());
			}
		}
	}
	return true;
}

 

 

Is there a way to determine if an animal is "inLove" without converting it to EntityAnimal?
