I'll look at them and confirm or reject it. Hereafter a template how you should post your suggestion: Mod: Clay Soldiers Mod Description: Clay Soldier counting item Explanation: Adding an item which shows you the amount of living clay soldiers and maybe mounts in the world. It should show you both the total amount of soldiers/mounts and soldiers grouped in teams, like this: Total soldiers: 32 Red soldiers: 16 Green soldiers: 8 Blue soldiers: 8 Here are the rules: - Don't post bugs or crashes here! There will be an extra thread for this. - Don't beg for updates - Don't post suggestions like: "PLZ ADD DRAGONZZ !!!1!1!1!1!!!!1111" They'll be ignored and deleted. Use the template instead. - Don't post already confirmed / rejected suggestions - Please follow the forum rules. Posts which are against above mentioned rules will be deleted. Here is a list of confirmed suggestions:Clay Soldiers Mod New building system You can choose a .schematic file and they'll build it. However they can only use wood, because it's the only material they can build with Here's a list of rejected suggestions: Clay Soldiers Mod Make them controllable. Will never happen due to the insane amount coding it would take. Add a block (to make their homebase) Not adding new blocks. Nor changing behavior about any existing block. Add dragons. Give a soldier a pegasus and a fire charge. There's your dragon. Add obsidian armor/weapons/anything. Obsidian is too overpowered to be included on anything Add tanks/guns/planes. No modern stuff. Goes against the main theme of the mod. Make giant clay soldiers. The mod is about little toy-like soldiers. Not human-like soldiers. Make them get resources. Why would they want to get resources? Their objective is to fight, not mine stuff. Things that already exist or featuring stuff that is already used. Pretty self explanatory... things cannot be used twice. Don't ask for stuff that is already implemented and don't suggest new uses for items that already in use. Fixing Minecraft related bugs. Would require editing the original game files, and it would make the mod less or non compatible with several other mods. (like the "snow-issue") naturally generated stuff You build and make them for your entertainment. There's no reason why they should occur naturally. Make a better AI We're still using the old AI for a reason: They should be silly. Their only objective is to fight the enemy. Also they don't have brains. They're only made of clay and souls (soul sand) Note: I haven't post the main mod threads here, yet. I will post them here when the specific mod is updated! Here are some suggestions: - Clay Soldiers Have Smarter AI, Meaning there are Different Games you can play around with them. - More Houses they can Build - More Weapons - Mini Blocks They Can Build (if that associates with destroying blocks and mining, cross that) - Random generated Mini Structures to get stuff for your Clay Soldiers - A Society(Cities, Jobs, Stuff ETC.) I hope you enjoy and consider this - The current AI is the old one, because they should be "dumb" and we don't tweak the AI now unless something is really fucked up. - I have considered to make a new building system, but I didn't have the chance to begin that yet. - Which kind of weapons? - no adding blocks, it's mentioned already - not likely, but I've an another mod planned which includes something from the CSM. - nah, because they're "dumb", they can't socialize. Since there not that smart, shouldnt they follow though a series of Ages? So they could be like us humans, they can have a village. They develop techniques then that can help them evolve. You could make seperate ages(Expansion). Also a expansion can have like games+ Blocks idk even though no blocks maybe to satisfy there thirst for these stuff. zygisrko 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2012 Well I got some suggestions for Clay Soldiers: Weapons: - Bows - Throw-able potions. - Throw-able bricks Armor: *Bucket helmet that increases their health a little. *Obsidian ( Fire Proof & Explosion Proof ) Misc: - TNT to make Suicide Soldier Bombers. - Give them a piston to make them jump higher. - Give them sign to make them glide through air. No swords as well, they have shear blades, sticks and blaze rods (and bone for the king). What do you mean with "Mob Followes"? For the socialize thingy: They're supposed to fight for your entertainment, so such a feature wouldn't fit. Except of that they wouldn't know how to use it, because they're supposed to be dumb. Trow-able potions: The radius for trowable potions is too big, they would inflict themselves with the potion they'll throw. Trowable bricks: is gravel not enough? ^^ Bucket helmet: well, they have already enough armor: Leather, Wool for padding and (studded) shields. Also food counts somehow as "armor". Obsidian: It's too hard stuff to be used by the soldiers. Also you can make them fire-proof with a throwable fire resistance potion. I like that idea with the explosion-proof thingy and I'll add it (finally an use for string ) Misc: - Gunpowder? - We'll consider to increase the jump height for bunny mounts at least to 1.5 blocks, so they can jump over fences. - Feather as parachute? For the mob followers...like they can get mobs to follow them, while there not riding, sort of like when wolfs follow u etc. well, we thought of expansion packs, but we don't got the time for them, especially because I have to update all my mods with a lot of recode now. We're not making a new dimension for this mod, nor are we going to make one based around the soldiers. Lastly, the soldiers are just that, soldiers. Making them able to trade is rather pointless.
