A mod that allows region selection from commands.

The first few releases are out. only basic functionality is implemented.

Use /help for the commands, Make a wand by crafing a stick. Pos1=left click, pos 2 = right click

You need only 1 permission to use this, SR.all

Commands
World Editing:
/region pos1 - Select position 1
/region pos2 - Select position 2
/region set <blockID> [Percentage] (Sets a region into this specific block ID with a percentage chance for randomness)
/region replace <blockID> <newBlockID> [Percentage] (Replaces all blocks in a region with the specific block ID with a percentage chance for randomness)
/region expand vert (Expands this region to go from bedrock to sky)
/region expand <amount> (Expands a region a specific amount towards a specific direction based on where the player is facing)
/region copy (Copies a region to memory)
/region paste (Pastes the copied region into where the player is standing)
/region rotate <amount> (Rotates the selected region a specific amount of degrees)
/region pattern <amount> (Copies the pattern and expand towards the direction the player is facing)

Ownership:
/region claim <region name> (Claims a region to the owner)
/region remove <region name> (Removes a claimed region)
/region flag <regionName> <flagName> <flagParameter> (Sets a region's specific flag to something)

I'm not making this mod. Just drafting down idea for you (Dries007).

Well, that post was a day ago .
Now I can do basic selection (a square). Expand all directions. (L, R, F, B, U & D). Set the selection in 1 blockId(and metadata) or in a randomly determent pattern (like this: "1%46,5%36:2,70%1" and it fills the rest of the % with air.) I can save and load regions (not relative to player yet).
And I make backups! (No undo yet though...) So, I'm making progress.

Well tanks to the coremods folder I can implement basic (non-mod) protection. If you want protection for mods, go bug the forge team...

Well thats what I mean. Theye is no posibility for protection without base edits right now. This means that its not possible to protect from EE for example. This makes the protection aspect semi-useless...

The IRC is more to not spamm yours ;-) And i think your most will do fine for now. With school i have much less time as al teachers seem to think there subject is the most important one and we schould spend all weekend making useless tasks for them...

It is starting to come together. Basic protections is built in, but not against weapons of mass destruction yet (Unless you use ICBM, that has protection built in)

ok thx. However ICBM uses a lot of ram for some reason and there's a lot of lag spikes on the ram usage bar...

So, do the latest builds have the permissions system in them?

If so, what are they?

With the ForgeBukkit project dying, I agree that a lot more people are going to be looking this direction for some region/chest protection and permissions/ranking systems.
