Really? It wouldn't work for me, Magic Launcher says its not compatible when I load it with Optifine, and I get the black screen.

Ok, just realized that Optifine is compatible with Forge #337 and not #339. Problem fixed.

Getting black screen on start up, I've downloaded clean versions of the jars several times, and I've cleaned up most of the Minecraft directory of unnecessary files.
